JACMUN 2026
To be announced...
Letter from the
Secretary-General

Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Staff,
It is with both honour and sheer joy that I welcome you to the 16th iteration of JACMUN’s conference. It is without a doubt a weekend consisting of stimulating debate and impactful networking spanning all hours of the day, culminating at our lively social. MUN is at its core an experience that challenges and encourages innovative problem-solving. For our world changers, we need distinct minds that have unique and bright ideas that come together to form a solution. JACMUN takes pride and respect in offering an experience that caters to a range of delegates. Whether that be our bilingual General Assembly or offering committees that range in difficulty for our seasoned and unseasoned delegates alike.
None of this would be possible without our unwaveringly reliable and diligent staff and our dais members, who foster an environment of growth through creativity and moxie. Furthermore, it is essential for me to show my appreciation to JACMUN’s devoted and passionate secretariat.
On behalf of the secretariat, I extend our most sincere gratitude towards you, our delegates and fellow MUN aficionados. A crew can build a house with effort and care but what makes it a home is when someone lives in it. During the school year, our secretariat has built the conference, and in the next three days, I wish for you to explore it fully. Whether that be raising your placard even if your hand is shaking and your mind is sending danger alerts, giving an impromptu speech or introducing yourself to a new delegate when you typically surround yourself solely with your friends. Live in it because an experience is what you make of it.
I am honoured to be JACMUN’s 2026 Secretary-General and I look forward to meeting this remarkable group of innovators. This incomparable experience that is JACMUN will leave an indelible mark that you will cherish for your years to come.
I wish you nothing short of fruitful debate,
Sincerely,
Lorelei Guzevicius
Secretary-General of JACMUN 2026
what is jacmun?
On April 11th and 12th, John Abbott College will be hosting the 16th iteration of its long standing Model United Nations conference, JACMUN. We are delighted to welcome beginner and experienced delegates alike to enrich their MUN journey by overcoming the obstacles set on their paths in our committees. Our goal is to open possibilities for all participants to test their abilities and weaknesses in a wide range of crises, specialized agencies and general assemblies. JACMUN’s Secretariat and staff members are wishing the greatest experience for all delegates to come and we will ensure nothing less from a memorable weekend!
We would like to acknowledge that John Abbott College was built upon the unceded and traditional lands of the Kanien'kehá:ka and Algonquin nations. It is JACMUN's great honour to be able to host its conference on this territory. We recognize and deeply appreciate the historic and ongoing Indigenous connections and presence on these lands and waters. We commit to building a sincere relationship with Indigenous peoples based on respect, dignity, trust, and cooperation, in the process of advancing truth and reconciliation.
