About Us

JACMUN is a Model United Nations conference hosted by students of John Abbott College. This conference takes place near the end of the academic year and is thus one of the last conferences on the Montreal circuit. The 2023 edition will mark JACMUN's thirteenth iteration, making it a staple of any Montreal MUNner's career.

The venue, John Abbott College, has been built upon the unceded and traditional lands of the Kanien'kehá:ka and Algonquin nations. It sits on the Western tip of the island of Montreal, overlooking Lac Saint-Louis. Originally part of McGill University's MacDonald Agricultural Campus, the buildings making up the College were taken to form the Cégep in 1970. It is JACMUN's great honour to be able to host its conference in this establishment.

JACMUN is a great conference for beginners and experienced participants alike, allowing them to both learn the ropes and explore the limits of their potential. This year's conference will hold five committees: one General Assembly, two Specialized Agencies, and two Crises. From drafting a resolution paper to elaborating crisis arcs, the whole JACMUN Secretariat wishes all attending delegates a wonderful time!
