A final decision will be reached in two weeks about the status of the conference
Introductions from the Secretary-General
Dear Delegates and Staff,
It is my great pleasure to invite you all to this year’s John Abbott College Model United Nations 2020 conference. As the 10th iteration of this conference, the secretariat and everyone else involved have worked harder than ever to maintain the quality we have been known for. Wanting nothing more than to provide the perfect delegate experience, we hope that each and every one of the staff and participants gain something unique from the conference.
Whether it is in our General Assembly, where delegates will learn to draft resolution papers and form blocs, or if it is in the elusive Ad Hoc where they can put their crisis arcs to the test, JACMUN offers a wide range of opportunities for delegates with varying levels of experience.
So get ready to immerse yourself in the world of the AMPAS and the 1% in our specialized agencies. Take a part in serious historical issues in the Opium Wars and October Crisis committees, the latter of which we are very proud to announce will be our first bilingual committee! Anywhere else from the UNWTO to the People’s Choice, there is a committee for everyone.
The JACMUN 2020 team is looking forward to welcoming you all to John Abbott this coming April.
See you there!
Secretary-General, JACMUN 2020
