The 2015 FIFA corruption scandal, also known as "FIFA Gate," was a major scandal that rocked the world of international football. It involved allegations of widespread corruption, bribery, and kickbacks among high-ranking officials within FIFA, the governing body of world football. The scandal came to light when several FIFA officials were arrested in May 2015 by Swiss authorities at the request of the United States. The U.S. Department of Justice subsequently indicted numerous FIFA officials on charges of racketeering, wire fraud, and money laundering. The allegations included schemes related to the selection of host countries for the FIFA World Cup tournaments, the sale of marketing and broadcasting rights, and other financial dealings within FIFA.

         Delegates in this committee will be tasked with debating and finding solutions to prevent further incidents in the future and restore FIFA’s integrity. The discussions will primarily focus on transparency, accountability and ethics in sports governance.
